TSUNEYASU MIYAMOTO

We will be conducting JFA’s first ever selection camp in North America.
If you believe in your own potential, we encourage you to challenge yourself.
The future you forge will shape the future of Japanese soccer.

BLUE LOCK Original Creator: MUNEYUKI KANESHIRO

The real life BLUE LOCK is about to begin. What started as a true commitment to drawing a manga has now linked up with the dreams of truly committed soccer players, and a truly committed plan is taking shape.

My hope is for this to surpass even BLUE LOCK as a stage for discovering top talent. We're waiting for true Egoists who aim to win the World Cup.

The egoists we imagined might actually exist somewhere in the real world… No—I'm certain they do! We're waiting for applications from all you egoists out there who believe, "I am the world's greatest striker!"

Ever since the anime adaptation was started, the entire anime staff has been earnestly aiming to "create a work that changes the world." To think that such a dream-like, even daring "ego" has finally reached the JFA, and that a collaboration like this has come to life — I'm truly honored!

I can’t wait for the moment when the “world’s greatest striker” is born, one who will change the future of the world of soccer!

  • Can I participate if I am not a resident or permanent resident
(e.g., studying abroad or on a short-term stay)?

    Yes, you may apply.

  • I do not hold Japanese citizenship
    — am I eligible to participate?

Players who are "expected to obtain Japanese citizenship in the future" are also eligible, so this is not an issue.

  • May parents or guardians travel with their child
or stay with them at the venue?

Parents or guardians may accompany their child up to the meeting point.
However, accompaniment or attendance at the venue once the program has begun is not permitted.

  • How will the on-site meet-up and dismissal be handled?

Details regarding the on-site meeting point for Monday, August 3 and the dismissal point for Thursday, August 6 will be communicated separately to participants who pass the document screening, in late June.

  • How will accommodation and meals be provided?

Participants will stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel arranged by the JFA (Address: 3131 Bristol St, Costa Mesa, CA 92626). Accommodation and meals during the selection period are provided free of charge.

  • What insurance coverage
is in place in case of injury or accident?

Accident insurance covering all participants is scheduled to be arranged.
Please note, however, that the insurance does not cover all possible risks or damages that may arise during participation, and there are limits on the scope of coverage and benefit amounts. The specific coverage details and benefit limits will be communicated separately to selected participants once their participation is confirmed.

  • In what format will the selection activities be conducted?

The program is expected to include physical measurements, training sessions, and training matches. Further details will be shared with those who pass the document screening in late June.

  • Does taking part in this selection
lead directly to future selection at the top-category level?

Participation in this selection does not guarantee a player’s future.
Participants will be evaluated comprehensively in comparison with players based in Japan, and those participants whose potential is recognized will be positioned as candidates for the top categories or the National Training Center.
