Today we had a joint practice match with the players of Korea Republic. I tried to have good communication with them from the warming-up session, getting ready by studying Hangul letters and Korean greetings. I also had a communication with my Korean team mate during the match and it was a lovely memory for me. I know that my Korean wasn’t right, but I anyway kept talking with them. They were very kind to me by giving me responses with smile and they also taught me some Korean. We both enjoyed communicating with each other even though we could not understand both languages well; we could feel what we wanted to tell each other by using gestures. Korean Republic is a good rival as well as a good friend. I expect to have more and more good memories with them in the future.

After dinner, we all watched a match of Nadeshiko Japan, the Japanese women’s national team. In the match, we could find many good plays which we can learn about finding good position behind defense and good pass-work. I think we could talk about what we want to do as a team at that opportunity. I want to play like Nadeshiko Japan by having good communication in the next match against Korea Republic on 14th.

TOGAWA Yuki(Fukushima:JFA Academy Fukushima)
It was my birthday today and my teammates sang a birthday song for me during the morning walk. I’m sure that I will not forget this 14th birthday. I just feel like this has been a good start for me; I just want to do my best both in football and in study to make my age 14 a good one.
