Born in Shizuoka Prefecture on 22 November 1965

KIOKA Futaba joined Shimizudaihachi Sports Club in 1978, and from 1980 to 1986, she contributed to seven consecutive championships in the All Japan Women's Football Championship (now the Empress Cup JFA All Japan Women's Football Championship). During that seven-year winning streak, she was named the tournament's best player three times.

In 1989, when the Japan Ladies Soccer League (later the Japan Women’s Football League) was established, she moved to Shimizu FC Ladies (Suzuyo Shimizu FC Lovely Ladies from 1990) and contributed to the first league championship. In 1995, she was the league's assist leader (10 assists), and by 1996 she had scored 43 goals in 116 games and was named to the best eleven three times.

She has been selected for the Japan women's national team since 1981, when it was first formed, and has participated in the Asian Women's Championship (now the AFC Women's Asian Cup), Asian Games, and FIFA Women's World Championship (now the FIFA Women's World Cup). At the 26th Olympic Games (Atlanta, 1996), which became an official event from this Games, she scored one goal against the German women's national team. She played 12 years for the national team, scoring 30 goals in 75 international A-match appearances.
