JFA strengthens ties with Vietnam FF

Japan Football Association (JFA), signed on today a partnership MoU with Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) at VFF Head Office in Hanoi, Vietnam. Both football governing bodies will now cooperate with each other for further development of football in Vietnam and Japan.
JFA President DAINI Kuniya expressed “I am very honoured by this partnership with Vietnam Football Federation, as this will surely strengthen the friendship and trust for each other.” TASHIMA Kohzo, Vice President and Executive General Secretary also emphasised “As we signed on the partnership between Vietnam and Japan, it is our prime objective for Asia as a whole to work together for further development of football in Asia.”
The MoU between JFA and VFF aims at the following main areas of cooperation:
-Mutual cooperation and support at international and regional football forums
-Sharing and exchanging human resources for football development
-Cooperation and exchange through training camps, competitions for National teams
-Consultancy and Introduction of competent, experienced Coaches for Men’s National Teams
-Exchange of experience in football management, legal matters related to football
-Exchanging and sharing experience in managing and governing top level Leagues (J – League and V – League), domestic competitions/tournaments (for Men, Women, Futsal, Youth, and Grassroots); Assisting in Cooperation agreements between V – League and J – League
-Exchanging of knowledge in terms of scientific and technology in Sports Medical, information on function rehabilitation by physical training
-Exchanging of experience in terms of football facility management
-Creating opportunities for Coaches, Referees, football Officials to attend football related Seminars, Conferences, Events… to be held in each country with a view to meet and exchange information, knowledge in football.
JFA and VFF have been building close relationship over the years through friendly matches, accommodating the training camps of national teams of various age categories in both countries. In May 2014, MIURA Toshiya of Japan was appointed as Head Coach of Vietnam National Team. This time, in order to push the level of mutual cooperation to another stage, both football governing bodies have agreed to sign on this MoU.
