JFA strengthens ties with All India Football Federation

Japan Football Association (JFA), signed on 24 February 2015 a partnership MoU with All Inida Football Federation (AIFF) at Hotel Le Meridien New Delhi in India. Both football governing bodies will now cooperate with each other for further development of football in India and Japan.
JFA and AIFF have been building close relationship over the years. This time, in order to push the level of mutual cooperation to another stage, both football governing bodies have agreed to sign on this MoU.
JFA President DAINI Kuniya expressed “I am very honoured by this partnership with Football Association of India. Through football exchanges in many areas we will surely strengthen the friendship and cooperation with each other for further development of football in both countries.” TASHIM Kohzo, Vice President and Executive General Secretary of JFA also stressed “As we signed on the partnership between India and Japan, it is our mission for Asia as a whole to work together in unity for the future of football in Asia.”
The MoU between JFA and AIFF aims at cooperating with each other in following main areas of cooperation:
- Vitalising the Women’s football
- Dispatch of a capable and qualified Japanese Coach as a Head Coach of India Women’s National Team on a full time basis.
- Exchange of knowledge on Coach Education through exchange of coaches and coach instructor courses.
- Exchange of knowledge on operating the Football Academy through exchange programmes of coaches, friendly matches between academy teams, and invitation to academy teams to the tournaments in each country
- Grassroots structure review and exchange of knowledge on Grassroots programmes
- Exchange of knowledge on supporting professional league
Japan Football Association has signed on partnership MoU with football governing bodies such as France, Spain, Singapore, Germany, Tajikistan, UAE, Jordan, Vietnam, and Iran.
