Class S Coach Refresher Training Course for Class S coaches was held at JFA House on Monday 21 April. The theme this time was "JFA Asia Coaches Dispatching Undertaking Activity Report." We thought over Japanese coaches' future activities in Asian countries by learning from a Japanese coach who finished two-year activities as a Laos represerntative coach.

As a speaker for the course, we welcomed KIMURA Koukichi, who came back to Japan after working as a Laos representative coach for two years. We had additional two lecures "Asisan Strategy"by J League and "Coach Dispatch to Asia" by JFA following the lecture by Mr. KIMURA Koukichi. We were able to learn the actual circumstances of coaching in Laos. The course also gave us a good opportunity to deepen understanding of the importance to dispatch Japanese coaches to Asia.

During the Class S Refresher Trainig Course,I reported my activities as a Laos representative coach. Although there were not many coaches who were in charge of activities due to J League being held, there were about 40 participants. All of them listened to me with interest. When having question-and-answer session, they actively asked me questions. For example, they asked me if they would be OK even if they were not good at languages. They also asked me the reason why I didn't continue it. What we ordinarily do in Japan is not something people ordinaly do in foreign countries. Although it is hard to adjust the life style and the environment and you may not be good at languages, you will be able to overcome if you have enough motivation. This dispatching undertaking gives coaches very precious experience. I think there would be no improvement in Japanese teams if Asian teams' performance doesn't improve. I hope that more coaches will get a chance to have coaching experience like I did.
