YAMAGUCHI Takafumi, Technical Director
47FA Youth Director’ role is to promote activities ranging from Kids Age Group players to Youth Age players (U-18) as the responsible person for a development in each FA. They are expected to create a vision for development in each FA as coordinating with JFA.
At the youth director training, we mainly discussed three topics – “Improvement Plan for training centre activities in each FA”, “Accomplishment and outstanding issues of the league games” and “Analyzing the World Cup” for making sure we have a common understanding of going forward.
It was very meaningful training as youth directors were eager to participate in the discussion.

UEDA Mitsuo, Youth Director Hokkaido (middle Hokkaido)
This is my eighth time attending this training, held twice a year, for I’ve been taking this since first time. I attend this training every time because I believe it is important to enhance development structure including environment for a game and coaching training for Japan National Team to become a top country in the world. The topic was on the World Cup Brazil but we could confirm the direction we are heading for through TSG. Also, I worked on to brush up my coaching skills by discussing with my colleague who is struggling on the pitch of each region just like me and holding practical skills and coaching training. I was told frequently Youth Director is a man at the scene and a man of decision. It was again productive training allowing me to think I should start changing the regular training as soon as I can with my colleague.

NAKAMURA Masato, Youth Director Shiga
This is my fifth year as Youth Director. It was good opportunity to remind me of the importance of Youth Director’s role by reviewing the streamlining of league matches and renovation of training center, etc. And I enjoyed meeting with my colleague and really enjoyable to pursue the essence of football. Not stop moving forward, I’d like to continue to make an effort for realizing “Japan’s Way” with all of the colleagues.

IGAWA Yuichi, Youth Director Kumamoto
It was three day Youth Director Training but I got a lot of stimulus. It was very fruitful time to attend the lecture and chat with Director of Training Centre and other regions. Most useful part was “a practical coaching training” held after a long. It made me think back if I was making a right effort to get coaches in Kumamto united as I worked on the practical training. I realized the importance of doing usual things in usual way and brush up my coaching skills on the pitch. In that sense, this training was an excellent opportunity for me. Bearing the things I learned in the training in mind, I think I will be committed myself to develop a good player from Kumamamoto Prefecture.
