"JFA Nadeshiko Friends Square Hiyama by Rebra" was held by Rebra, an non-profit organisation, on Sunday 30th March. This was the 150th JFA Nadeshiko Friends Square since the inauguration. 19 female players from a wide range of age groups, from elementary school children to adults, participated. Among them there was a pair of a mother and a daughter together, too.

We have events for all ages mainly in Hiyama, southern part of Hokkaido. Anyone can participate regardless of experience, age, skills and physical abilities. We don't teach much of techniques of football or futsal, but we rather focus on everyone having fun and enjoying with the ball altogether.
When we cover specific skills, we split players depending on their experience level and adjust the activity.
Geographically we cover a large area, but we have many experienced players participating. Also the number of participants with little or no experience is increasing, so we are very thankful.
By this kind of events, we want to keep working to have more female players playing for local girls teams and adults' club teams in this region.

I participated in this event with my daughter. She is a third grader. I was a little nervous at first for her to play football with people she had never met before. But after we started, she soon left me, joined girls she just met for the first time, and enjoyed running for the ball together. I think all participants from small kids to adults have different purposes for this event, but we all like football and we get together. And we finish the event with everyone smiling. I will keep looking forward to upcoming JFA Friends Square where we experience just that. 

JFA Nadeshiko Friends Square is when and where women of all ages can start playing, enjoy playing and keep playing football and futsal in their lives. We continually look for organisers as well.
