Although it was unfortunate that Japan High School Selection Team was eliminated in group stage at Dusseldorf International Tournament, a Fair Play Award was given to the team at a commendation ceremony held on Tuesday, April 22nd, which was the last day of the tournament.

After the ceremony, the team members moved to Koln and watched a match between Koln and Bochum in 2 Bundesliga. As a result of this match, Koln now belongs to 1 Bundesliga.The members enjoyed the authentic foodball with delighted suporters.

They finished all activities as a Japan High School Selection Team and will return to Japan on Wednesday, April 23rd.

We were eliminated from the Osaka prefectural tournament for high school foodball championship, but I'm thankful that I was able to participate in the tournament as a team member. During the tournament, I was able to meet Maruoka Mitsuru, who is my high-school classmate and temporal Dortmund team member.
He wasn't able to attend our high-school graduation ceremony, so it's been a while since I last saw. I was very glad that I was able to meet him again.
Also, I was inspired by him doing amazing job as a Dortmund team member.

TAKAHASHI Souya (Rissho Daigaku Shonan High School⇒Sanfrecce Hiroshima)
I was able to participate in the tournament this year as well as last year. Our team won a championship last year, so we were very happy at the end of the tournament. However, I feel that I was given a real lesson by the European teams this year.I wasn't able to do as good as I wanted to do and feel that I could do better, but overall, this has become a good experience.
