Class 3 Activities – Iwate Football Association
“Aiming for much progress” KADOSHITA Toshinori, Class 3 Chairman of Iwate Football Association
About Registered team of Class 3 in Iwate prefecture, there are total of 94 teams including 82 teams of Junior High School Physical Culture Association, 9 teams of Club Federation and three of other category.
Two teams, Mizusawa Junior High School in Oshu City and Tono Junior High School in Tono City made it to last eight for remarkable performance in the 44th All Japan Junior High School Football Festival. Both teams were defeated in close game by teams made it to the final but they demonstrated amazing performance.
In the situation of U-15 league in Iwate, four teams belong to northern bloc of “Tohoku U-15 Minchinoku League” and “Iwate Prefecture U-15 League”, 6th year since started the league, has 8 teams in first division and 7 teams each in two blocs in second division. Third division is divided into 7 areas, competed by 72 teams. In principle, the participating teams for next year are decided by automatic promotion and demotion, self-operation of the league is getting stable as years went by.
The outstanding issue is that the league is not competitive enough because it doesn’t consist of the same level of teams and U-13 league is still in development phase.
Overcoming these issues, we currently hold training for a coach twice a year for sharing issues of class 3 age group and eventually create competitive league. But the situation is U-13 league is not progressing as expected due to lack of staff. It will be necessary to figure out and change the league format to Satellite League for securing the venue for U-13 age group official game.
In the future, upon improvement of said issues, we are aiming to enhance our players and train them to send players to Japan National Team and the world beyond from Iwate.
