Japan Football Museum extends its opening period

Japan Football Museum extends its opening period

It has been decided that the Japan Football Museum will remain open for an extended period of time before closing due to Japan Football Association's (JFA) planned relocation of its office this year. Special opening days have been set for weekends and public holidays, and the final opening day will be extended from its originally scheduled date of Sunday 5 February 2023, as follows.

【Special opening days】
Sat. 11, Sun. 12, Sat. 18, Sun. 19, Thu. 23, Sat. 25, Sun. 26 February
※The museum will be closed on weekdays from Monday 6 February onwards.
※It will be open as usual on weekdays until Sunday 5 February.
※The final opening day of the museum will be Sunday 26 February.
※A closing ceremony is planned for the final day (details to be confirmed).
※We are currently looking for a new location for the Japan Football Hall of Fame so that it can be re-opened to the public as soon as possible.
※The “adidas JFA SHOP” and “JFA STORE Japan Football Museum shop,” which are located in the Japan Football Museum, will also be open during the special opening days.
※Group reservations are not accepted on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 February.
※Complimentary tickets are valid until Sunday 26 February.

Japan Football Museum

The Japan Football Museum opened on 22 December 2003 to further develop football culture by utilising the legacy of the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan™. Total number of visitors is approximately 700,000 (as of January 2023).
