Pick Up Match 1
Nojima Stella Kanagawa Sagamihara (Kanto1/Kanagawa) 3-1 (1st 1-0, 2nd 2-1) Seiwa Gakuen High School (Tohoku3/Miyagi)
The second game was held between the home Seiwa Gakuen High School (Tohoku3/Miyagi) and Nojima Stella Kanagawa Sagamihara (Kanto1/Kanagawa). While Seiwa Gakuen boldly showed its aggressive stance from the beginning, it allowed Nojima Stella to make an opening score by MINAMINO Arisa who pushed the rebound come off the crossbar into net in the 14th minute. However, Seiwa Gakuen kept proactive in its offence. In the 53th minute, in front of the goal, Abe Yukiko inverted and shot a ball crossed from the space behind the opponent’s defensive lines, evening up the game at 1-1. After equalizing, Nojima Stella tried a breakthrough by sending a ball simply into the space behind the high defensive line of Seiwa Gakuen. MINAMINO of the team received a diagonal pass well and again gave a go-ahead goal in the 68th minute. MINAMINO also reacted to a loose cross to turn the hat trick in the 84th minute. Nojima Stella, keeping its momentum till the very end, reached the round 3 at 3-1.
Pick Up Match 2
Daisho Gakuen High School (Kansai4/Osaka) 0-1 (1st 0-0, 2nd 0-1) Nippon Sports Science University (Kanto2-Kanagawa)
The first game at Yurtec Stadium Sendai was between Daisho Gakuen High School (Kansai4/Osaka) and Nippon Sports Science University (Kanto2-Kanagawa). In the first half, while Nippon Sports Science University attempted to move forward widely in the pitch, Daisho Gakuen defensive lines firmly kept putting pressure on them. Daisho Gakuen allowed a ball not come into the front of its goal as well as Nippon Sports University make only one shoot. On the other hand, the team made a lot of chance to shoot after grabbing a ball on the high defensive line of the opponent.
The game ended scoreless in the first, but soon after entering into the second, Nippon Sports University which replaced 2 members in the halftime changed the game. The team’s play style suddenly changed from that of the first which likely possessed a ball in its own field and HIRATA Hikari shot a cross to make a first score in the 47th minute. Daisho Gakuen tried to counterattack with substitutions of 3 members, however, Nippon Sports University managed to keep its lead, advancing to the round 3.
Remaining 4 games of the round 2 will be held on Sunday December 7 at Yurtec Stadium Sendai and Coca-Cola West Hiroshima Stadium.

Comments
ITO Yukina(Nippon Sports Science University/Kanto2-Kanagawa)
We couldn’t play its own soccer, remaining restless from first to last. I believed stealing the ball from the opponent on a good manner would lead vigorous attacks, however, we struggled to do so, because our lines in each front, middle as well as defense are too much extended. We successfully corrected in the halftime and broken the opponent’s defensive line when making a goal. As we achieved good results in the challenge league, we will aim for higher stage to undergo as many good things as possible for next the All Japan University Women’s Football Tournament.
MIURA Momo(Daisho Gakuen High School/Osaka)
I tried to win a victory by putting pressure in the front line and making an opportunity that would be believed to surely come. As our defense was functional at the beginning, the opponents struggled against our pressure. However, when possessing a ball, we failed to keep it due to many simple mistakes. We aimed to experience a lot in our first Empress’s Cup to improve our performance in the All Japan University Women’s Football Tournament. I will try to do our own football in the game with teams of the same age.
ABE Yukiko(Seiwa Gakuen High School/Miyagi)
The number of chances for us was almost as equal as those for the opponent, but there were certainly differences in whether taking them or not. The opponent was superior to us in dealing with a ball in our front line as well as keeping its momentum even at the end of the game. We should be improved in several points, e.g. more communication during the game and accurate passing a ball in front of the goal, to make good use of what we learned in this match toward All Japan High School Women’s Football Tournament in next January.
OYAMA Saki(Nojima Stella Kanagawa Sagamihara/Kanagawa)
We aimed for winning this match, because the Empress’s Cup is the final tournament for us to play as the team of current members and there were team mates who could not come today. Getting more scores is ideal, but we expected tough game against the team of another category in this tournament, so I got happy about this victory. I also expect uneasy next game with a strong team, Urawa Reds Ladies, in the round 3, but try to best to closing the victory.
