The 1st All Japan Youth Futsal Championship presented by BallBall will be held during Thu. 28 Aug to Sun. 31 Aug. Sixteen teams went through regional qualifiers come to play in the league format (1st round) in four groups with four teams in each group. Two top teams of each group shall qualify for the final round. The tournament with a knockout format and decides first champion team.

JFA organizes futsal championships in various categories - All Japan Boys Futsal Championship for U-12 age groups, Japan Youth (U-15) Futsal Championship for man and woman, All Japan University Futsal Championship, PUMA Cup All-Japan Futsal Championship for man and woman, JFA Enjoy 5, etc. This championship for U-18 is a new addition to the list.With increasing popularity for futsal among U-18 generations, more players are playing futsal and more opportunities for playing futsal. Playing in the different conditions as compared with football - number of players, pitch, rule, and different playing situations, the players in developing stage will have a bigger chance to develop their skills for both football and futsal.The players of U-18 groups will be the ones to become key players in Japan International team of football and futsal in the future. Making this event the beginning for brushing up their futsal skills, it is expected to find the players likely to target for Japan international team of football and AFC U-21 Futsal Championship in 2017.

There were various teams participating in this tournament, ranging from the team of school football team and club exclusive for futsal. It is expected to see tough games as all the teams have stock of skills, tactics and strong desire to win. Please come to the venue - Sumidaku Sogo Taikukan (Sumida City Gymnasium) and Otaku Sogo Taiikukan (Ota-City General Gymnasium) in Tokyo and see the players in action, developing their skills as they play more games.
