Go for the victory - The 5th All Japan Youth (U-15) Women’s Futsal Tournament
10 January 2015
The 5th All Japan Youth (U-15) Women’s Futsal Tournament will be held on 11-12 January 2015 at Sky Hall Toyota in Toyota, Aichi. The 9 teams selected in the 9 regional qualifying rounds from all over Japan will be divided in to 3 group leagues for the 1st round and then the top team from each league will play in the final round.
This tournament is expected to have exciting matches between strong teams from each region of Japan. One of the highlights is in Group C where FC Vitoria (Kansai/ Osaka), last year’s champion, will play. This is the team’s 3rd experience to play in this tournament. ‘Our team concept is “appreciation, kindness, and effort”. We will show this concept through our play on the pitch and also impress people all over Japan with our outstanding play sense, playful mind, as well as unswerving toughness’, Head Coach HOZUMI Hajime promised to have impressive games in the tournament.
The match between FC Vitoria and Own Goal (Hokushinetsu/ Toyama) is expected to be especially interesting. Own Goal has beaten Maruoka Ruck Ladies, who has qualified for this tournament for the past 5 years, in the regional matches in Hokushinetsu. We can also see how Legare Sakata (Tohoku/ Yamagata) , who has been qualified for the first time, will play against these two strong teams in this Group C.
Group A will also have thrilling matches. Club Fields Linda(Hokkaido) ,who won the preliminary tournament prior to this competition and finished in 2nd place last year, has qualified for the fourth time. Jumonji Junior High School(Kanto/ Tokyo) is joining for the second time after being unable to do so for 3 years. Nakatsu FC Pomato(Kyusyu/ Oita) is playing for the third time after the 3 years. All teams in this group have experience in this competition and the players will be expected to keep their level of play high in the matches.
FC Effronte(Chugoku/ Okayama) is expected to lead Group B. The team has qualified for 5 consecutive years and is the first champion of this Tournament. In 2013, they were in the 3rd place but did not qualify for the final round last year. “It was a bitter experience that we lost last year, so we have had a lot of practice” (Tanimoto Nanako), “For some of my teammates, this will be the last chance to play in this Tourament. I will play as much as I can” (Muramatsu Hiroe). The team’s players are ready for this Tournament with such a high motivation. They are expected to have interesting matches against two new teams Iga FC Kunoichi Satelite (Tokai/ Mie) and Tokushima Lateesha(Shikoku/ Tokushima) .
What kind of drama is waiting for the teams who have lots of passion and guts in this Tournament? Please come to the stadium to share the memorable moment to see the champion of this All Japan U-15 Women’s Futsal Tournament.
