The head coaches and the players from both teams appeared at a press conference the day before the match, and expressed their aims for the coming game.

Comments

YOSHIDA Tatsuma, Head Coach(Kashiwa Reysol)
We’ve been preparing ourselves for approximately four weeks before I show you this year’s team at Hitachidai.
The current condition of the team is excellent and the players keep improving themselves through the daily training to become an even more united team. The Chonburi Football Club has built up positive momentum for them, as they have already started their official games, including this Champions League and the one in Thailand. Having said that, we’ve been focusing on this coming Champions League and we have prepared enough. So I’d like the players to play well and win the match to get to the next step.

SUZUKI Daisuke(Kashiwa Reysol)
We’ve been preparing ourselves for tomorrow’s match, after we finished the previous season. We stayed positive about our football for four weeks, communicating among the players or with the head coach and staff, and got ourselves ready.
I’d like to show you the ‘new Kashiwa Reysol’ tomorrow. I’d also like to win the match as a team to achieve our first aim, which we have been practicing for – participating in the AFC Champions League.

Jadet MEELARP, Head Coach(Chonburi Football Club)
It will be a vital match for both of the teams tomorrow. As we’ve prepared ourselves well, I expect the players will have a good performance tomorrow. We’ll attack swiftly and aim at advancing to the group stage.

SINTHAWEECHAI(Chonburi Football Club)
I expect a tough match, as it’s an away game. Having said that, we’ve prepared well and I’d like to do my best. Although I know the level of the Japanese football teams is very high, I’d like to try hard to win the match tomorrow.
