ACL 2015 MD3 - Kashiwa Reysol look for straight win at home
17 March 2015
The AFC Champions League 2015 enters its Matchday 3 phase on Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 March. Kashiwa Reysol welcome Shandong Luneng FC (CHN) at home on 17th. Ahead of the match, the press conference was held on the previous day, and the comments are as follows.
Head Coaches and Players' Comments
YOSHIDA Tatsuma, Head Coach (Kashiwa Reysol)
Tomorrow’s opponents Shandong Luneng have long been and are a very good club, so they know how to play the ACL. I watched their last year’s match against Cerezo Osaka. My impression of the team was that they have not only good foreign players but also big and quick Chinese players. They are also well-organised as a team under the Brazilian head coach.
Their match score against Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (KOR) turned to be a wide margin in the end, but as their head coach Choi Kang Hee said after the match, the score didn’t really show how they played. They have a big potential. Even so, we play at home tomorrow, so we need to try to win even against such opponents.
Kim Changsoo (Kashiwa Reysol)
Shandong Luneng are very powerful and strong. But tomorrow’s match is played at our home, so we will do our best to win no matter what. Chinese football is physically intense. We will get well-prepared for the match.
Cuca, Head Coach (Shandong Luneng FC /CHN)
The previous match ended up very disappointing. It’s not only the score, but we lost important players by injuries. We are still unsure when they are coming back onto the pitch. So this match will be very difficult for us. We won’t be able to play our best squad but will definitely try our best to get a victory.
Wang Dalei (Shandong Luneng FC /CHN)
We are looking forward to tomorrow’s match. We came to Japan to win the match. We will battle it out for a win tomorrow.
