Head Coaches and Players' Comments

HASEGAWA Kenta (Gamba Osaka)
Buriram, who is coming on the back of two consecutive victories, have some excellent individual players with high skills. We’d like to win at home with all our power. Although we haven’t scored yet in this ACL, we are creating more and more goal-scoring opportunities and playing better. If the strikers score, it gives the team a good atmosphere. The level in Asia is very high ? as high as, or even higher than the J. League. We’d like to face the game with respect.

DF #5 NIWA Daiki (Gamba Osaka)
I’ll give first priority to a victory, playing my best as a challenger. We conceded goals early on in the games in the previous two matches in the ACL, which made us lose control of the game. We fixed this problem in the J. League, and now play better. Although I’ll bear in mind the opponent’s characteristics, I believe it’s essential to play our style.

Alexandre Da Gama Lima, Head Coach (Buriram United/THA)
I told the players that ‘it’ll be one of the most important matches’. So I expect it’s going to be a tough one. Although we respect Gamba Osaka, we have got ourselves ready. We won’t change our style even when we play away. If we change our style, we will lose the game. We’ll do our utmost with confidence to get a good result.

MF #8   Suchao Nutnum (Buriram United/THA)
As Gamba Osaka is a very strong team, I know it’s not easy to beat them. I’ll give it everything, in order to get through to the next stage. We came to Japan two days ago, getting ourselves 100% ready. I believe it’s going to be an excellent match.
