The Prince Takamado Throphy U-18 Football League2014 Premier League, determining Japan’s No.1 of the U-18 generation, started on Sunday, 6th April in various regions.

The match between Tokyo opponents, Mitsubishi Yowa SC Youth and Tokyo Verdy Youth.  The match took place in a chilly day with occasional rainfall, but many spectators came to the stadium. At the very beginning of the match, Mitsubishi Yowa had a big chance. It got a free kick in front of the goalmouth and Soma Yuki shot directly at goal, but the shot regrettably hit the crossbar. But Mitsubishi Yowa continued to create several chances from the right flank led by Shimoda Yuya and Soma Yuki. Comments from coach and players

Yamamoto Nobuo,Coach (Mitsubishi Yowa SC Youth)
We could play the match in a good tense place. In today’s match we could endure the time of difficulty and we did not let in goals. Until now, we had let in many unintentionally goals, so being able to hold out in defense was a big result for us. Every year we are struggling, so we would like to work without losing sight of our position and with modesty, in order to do our best in every match. We would like to play well also in the next match as in this one, also against strong teams.

Disalo Akira Silvano(Mitsubishi Yowa SC Youth)
Last year I didn’t have many opportunities to play, so this year I started the season thinking “This year I want to play!”. The defenders of opponent team were superior to me in build and I have no chance to clash directly against them and win, so I try to seize upon a momentary chance. I am good at infiltrating into the back, but I would like to improve my technique and to become a dangerous player for the opponents. As in today’s match, defenders are making efforts in order not to concede goals, so as a FW, I would like to lead the team with my goals and assists. This year I aim to score more than 10 goals.

Togashi Koichi,Coach (Tokyo Verdy Youth)
In the additional time of the first half we conceded a goal for a lack of concentration and crisis management, we might have been able to prevent that goal with more prudence. In the second half, we could attack as planned, but the fact that we could not score, is a task that we must solve. We lost the match, but considering that the team state is getting well, I think that it was a good match that let imagine the future. If we continue to work looking at the future, I believe we can recoup the lost match. I would like the players to continue working, keeping in mind, throughout the league matches, that they are playing in a top level team from the point of view of physical strength and tactics.

Misao Kento(Tokyo Verdy Youth)
I let the player that I was marking scoring goals and I am really sorry for it. it was necessary to be stronger in mind and to try to shoot more. In comparison with last year, this team, our team has improved the ability of moving the ball, so we will try to play always thinking of scoring with the efforts of the whole team. As for me, I am going to play always thinking if my plays are valid in top class teams. The league has just started and will continue, so we should go over this defeat and make improvements for the next match. In the next match we will make efforts in order to play our football as long as possible.
