Prince Takamado Trophy U-18 Football League 2014 Premier League WEST 2nd Section Preview

Vissel Kobe U-18 (Hyogo), which has won the opening match, will play against Toyama Daiichi High school (Toyama) at home. In the previous section, it has completely defeated Gamba Osaka Youth (Osaka), led by U-19 Japan National Team candidate DF Yamaguchi Shinji. In the attack, players such last year’s WEST top scorer, Yonezawa Rei, have scored 3 goals and have brought the team a sweeping victory. On the other hand, Toyama Daiichi was defeated by Nagoya Grampus U-18 (Aichi) and could not win the first section. It aims for its first victory of the season, and it aims to revenge against Kobe, which defeated it in all the 2 matches held last year.

Kyoto Sanga F.C. U-18 (Kyoto) will play against Nagoya. In order to solve the issues of the 1st section, in which it could shoot only 6 times and it was defeated for 1-3, the team is trying to revise the attack. In regard to Nagoya, it won the opening match for 3-1. It aims for consecutive victory, led by Sakurai Subaru, who scored 2 goals in that opening match.

Kyoto Tachibana High school (Kyoto) is facing Higashi Fukuoka High School (Fukuoka). In the 1st section’s match against Higashiyama High School (Kyoto), 3 players of the first year played in the starting lineup, the coach Yonezawa Kazunari told “the match was successful” and the team is trying to grow in the league. Will it be able to achieve its first victory in the Premier League, in its first match at home? Higashiyama High School, which defeated Kyoto Tachibana in the previous section, is bracing itself again (“The fact that we have won is positive, but we are not satisfied with the substance of the match. This way of playing will not pass any longer.” told Yoshii Satoru) and will fight against Gamba Osaka Youth in its home field.

Cerezo Osaka U-18 vs Sanfrecce Hiroshima F.C Youth

The two teams that got the 3 points in the opening match will face each other in the 2nd section. Cerezo Osaka U-18 (Osaka) has almost the same regular players of the last year in lineup, and the tactics have been permeated through the whole team. The coach, Okuma Yuji told “Players are understanding and carrying out an aggressive football both in attack and in defence.” and seemed to be confident. In contrast, Sanfrecce Hiroshima F.C. Youth (Hiroshima), whose main players have left, began the season largely changing its members. The coach Mochizuki Kazuyori is perfectly aware of the situation and told “We have no experience at all, so it is obvious that we could not reach good results”, but won the first match against Kyoto for 3-1, turning the tables. “Also this year we will play aiming for technique and we will concentrate on the next match”, told the coach. Which team will win two successive matches, Cerezo Osaka or Hiroshima?
