The Prince Takamado Trophy U-18 Premier League EAST, Kashima, lack of star player, face Ichiritsu Funabashi for the victory
04 December 2015
The Prince Takamado Trophy U-18 Premier League EAST will have its final matchday on 6 December.
Second placed Aomori Yamada High School (Aomori) will play away against F.C. Tokyo U-18 (Tokyo). In the previous matchday, a victory would have taken them one step closer to deciding the top team of the league; they dropped to second place with a defeat against Kashima Antlers Youth (Ibaraki). However, the team’s coach KURODA Go says, "I believe that we still have the chance."
If Aomori Yamada High School wins this time, and Kashima draws or loses, they can get back to the top position. Aomori Yamada ‘s key is to keep high motivation to take shots. In the 1st half of the previous matchday; they had only one shot on goal. In fact the team has many players who have good accuracy in setplays and crosses, and as a team they are capable of breaking down opponents by moving the ball around well. They will aim at the F.C. Tokyo’s goal with various tactics.
Omiya Ardija Youth (Saitama) will play home against JFA Academy Fukushima (Fukushima). On the previous matchday, Omiya was defeated by Ryutsukeizaidai Kashiwa (Chiba) while two key offence players midfielder KUROKAWA Atsushi and forward FUJINUMA Takumu couldn’t play and they only had one shot in the second half. Since matchday 14, Omiya’s offence has not been active having scored only 1 goal in the previous 4 matches and it is the issue that they have made more mistakes recently. To end the season well to start the next one positively, this time they need to take back their aggressive playing style.
Ryutsukeizaidai Kashiwa (Chiba), which secured their safety to stay in the Premier League at the previous matchday, will face Shimizu S-Pulse Youth and will try to get their third consecutive win. The team has been in a good mood especially in offence such as forward KANETA Atomu he scored a hat trick in the previous match against Omiya.
The match between the eighth placed Kashiwa Reysol U-18 (Chiba) and the ninth placed Consadole Sapporo U-18 (Hokkaido) is the important match to decide who will get relegated. However, Kashiwa is in a stronger position with 3 more points and Kashiwa’s goal difference is -5 whereas that of Sapporo is -17; unless Sapporo can beat Kashiwa with more than 12 goals, they will be relegated. (In case that both teams will be equal in goal difference, Kashiwa will be relegated since Sapporo will be superior in number of total goals.)

Ichiritsu Funabashi High School vs Kashima Antlers Youth
Kashima Antlers Youth will be the champion if they win their match, but the situation does not seem so easy. The opponent team Ichiritsu Funabashi High School (Chiba) has been in a good mood with 3 wins and 1 draw in their recent 4 matches. They qualified for this winter’s All Japan High School Soccer Tournament and have gained momentum as a team.
Kashima`s difficulty this time is forward KAKITA Yuki’s absence due to suspension after being sent off and for cautions respectively. He is the star player with 12 goals of the 25 goals that Kashima has scored so far. How they can cover his absence? Check out if Kashima, who has always been consistent, can overcome the biggest challenge in this match.
