The 14th National Senior (O-60) Football Championship 2014 Event Outline Accompanying Event: The Senior (O-17) Football Festival 2014.

The Japan Football Association will hold “the 14th National Senior (O-60) Football Championship 2014” in Fujieda, Shizuoka, from Saturday 31 May to Monday 2 June. The 16 teams which have won out of the regional qualifiers will gather to decide this category’s best team in Japan.

Competition Regulations
The 16 teams which have won out of regional qualifiers are divided into 4 4-team groups. In the group stage, all teams will play one match against every other team in the same group. Four top teams from each group advance to the knock-out stage to decide the champion team.
Participating teams
The teams consisting of players aged 60 or older are eligible. One hometown team join the 15 teams which have won out of the regional championships, and that makes up the total of 16 teams participating in the championship.
