Who will accumulate points in the rescheduled fixtures of the Prince Takamado Trophy JFA U-18 Football Premier League 2021
29 October 2021
Seven postponed fixtures of the Prince Takamado Trophy JFA U-18 Football Premier League 2021 were rescheduled to be played on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 October.
EAST
Second place Shimizu S-Pulse Youth (Shizuoka) will face eighth place FC Tokyo U-18 (Tokyo). The two sides have played each other a couple weeks ago, in which FC Tokyo came from behind to win the match 2-1. Shimizu will seek to have their revenge this time, as their defence, led by KIKUCHI Shuta (#3), will try to hold off the Tokyo offence to take home three points.
Aomori Yamada High School (Aomori) will welcome Urawa Red Diamonds Youth (Saitama) to their home. After finishing the first half of the season with a league leading record of seven wins, one draw, and one loss, the Aomori side has started the second half with back to back clean sheet victories. With Aomori Yamada preparing for the All Japan High School Soccer Tournament qualifier, they would certainly want to gain momentum from this Premier League match, as they seek to earn their 25th consecutive appearance at the national competition,
Kashiwa Reysol U-18 (Chiba) is scheduled for a home game against Yokohama FC Youth (Kanagawa). The Kashiwa side has been undefeated in four consecutive matches, and they will try to keep their streak going in order to stay in contention for the title race.
WEST
Although Vissel Kobe U-18 (Hyogo) has struggled dearly in the Premier League this season, two of their players, TERASAKA Shogo (#19) and TOMINAGA Niina (#9), have been selected into the under-age national team. With the younger players giving a boost to the Kobe squad, they will try to cause an upset against fourth place Sagan Tosu U-18 (Saga) this weekend.
Jubilo Iwata U-18 (Shizuoka) will welcome Sanfrecce Hiroshima F.C Youth (Hiroshima) to their home this week. After losing three consecutive away games, the Iwata side will play their first home game since their 2-0 victory against Kyoto on 2 October. We will see if Jubilo can earn their fourth win of the season on their home turf.
Unlike the first half of the season, in which Cerezo Osaka U-18 (Osaka) lost seven consecutive matches to start the season, the Osaka side has been on the upswing since October, as the team's tactics started to come together. Led by team captain OKAZAWA Kosei (#6), Cerezo will try to escape the relegation zone when they face eighth place Kyoto Sanga FC U-18 (Kyoto) this weekend.
Nagoya Grampus U-18 (Aichi) will seek to bounce back from their 1-5 loss to Ozu High School (Kumamoto), as they are slated to face Gamba Osaka Youth (Osaka) this week. With KATO Gen (#5) leading the defence line, the Nagoya side will try to get back on track to compete for the title.
