It has been determined that the Nadeshiko Japan (Japan Women’s National Team), who are scheduled to be on a tour to Europe in April, will be playing against the Portugal Women’s National Team in an international friendly match at Guimaraes, Portugal on Friday 7 April.

We were able to gain a tremendous learning experience from the SheBelieves Cup held last February. We only have two more matches in April and one in July ahead of the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia/ New Zealand 2023™. We will continue to take on the matches one at a time in order to further expand our ability as a team. Portugal has earned their spot into the World Cup by scoring the game-winner during additional time of the play-offs. They will certainly be carrying momentum, so we will approach the match as a challenger and try to make it a productive match for both sides.
