TAKAKURA Asako, Coach's Comment
The title of this training camp implies what this is all about, it’s an opportunity to challenge the Nadeshiko Japan (Japan Women's National Team). This will be a try-out session among players we believe to have the potential of becoming members of Nadeshiko Japan. I would like all participants to have strong intention of becoming a part of the team. As far as the schedule goes for Nadeshiko Japan, this year we will be participating in the AFC Asian Cup in April and the Asian Games in August. FIFA Women’s World Cup will follow next year, and then the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. I hope that we will be able to find new players from this camp that would play in these future events, and at the same time create competition for the current members to make Japan stronger.
