Despite the long travel, the team looked relaxed as they were welcomed at the airport.

The international friendly match between Nadeshiko Japan and Norway Women’s National Team is scheduled to kick-off at 14:00 on Sunday 11 November.

Players’ Comments

DF #2 Ingrid MOE WOLD (LSK Kvinner)
This is our first-time facing Japan since last year’s ALGARVE CUP. Japan is a very well organised team and we lost the match 0-2 back then. However, we have picked up our conditions dramatically ahead of next year’s World Cup. In our match on the 11th, we hope to showcase our strong points, which lies on our physical strengths and team spirit.

MF #18 Frida LEONHARDSEN MAANUM (Linkopings FC/Sweden)
With the World Cup coming up next year, this match against Japan means a lot not just for the team, but for me personally as I have a strong commitment towards the World Cup. Also, this is my first time arriving to Japan, but I have the impression that Japan is a clean and safe country with very friendly people. We don’t have much time to spend during this tour, but I would like to revisit Japan for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics for sure.

MF #20 Emilie BOSSHARD HAAVI (LSK Kvinner)
Honestly, I am very tired from the long travel and I am jet lagged as well. However, we still have five days, so we will spend the time wisely to condition ourselves ahead of the match. Our team hasn’t been able to earn good results up until last year. But the team has gotten better ahead of the World Cup. I know that the match against Japan will present us with a great challenge, but we will give our best to win the match.
