Beach soccer Japan shortlisted squad training camp in Hyogo (20 February)

The squad worked on physical training using ball in the morning and played intra-squad game in the afternoon on third day of the camp.

There were many scenes of players giving instructions as they calling each other in a loud voice and battling hard for the ball. And head coach often stop them playing and gave them instructions in sharp tone. They were working seriously on each training program for enhancing team performance to get ready for AFC Beach Soccer Championship 2015 serving as qualifiers for FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015.

Only 12 players can register for qualifiers. Fifteen players were called up for this training camp and as a matter of fact this is a sort of survival camp. Every player wants to make contribution to the team and to be named in the final squad, the intensity of training is getting higher every day.

Japan squad lost to the other side in the final and ended up runner-up in AFC Beach Soccer Championship held in 2013 previously. The squad is going to battle for winning the Asian title and earning the World Cup berth.

Players Comments

AKAGUMA Takuya (Dorsole Kitakyushu)
We had very good training so far three days. Although the temperature is low and the training is hard, I want to play as hard as I can to raise quality so that I can make contribution to the team. I refresh myself and relaxed by taking hot spring with teammates after the training and we have a good team atmosphere.

ODA Hirofumi (TOKYO LEQUIOS BS)
As the training camp is held before qualifiers, I’ve never seen everybody so motivated as this time before. Personally I want to contribute to the team by calling out loud and get united as a team for winning the Asian championship.

KOMAKI Masayuki(TOKYO LEQUIOS BS)
I had a good day as it was different kind of programs in the training today as well. I suppose we could check the formation among players and better communication in intra-squad game in the afternoon. The training has been getting harder by the day and I want to prepare for the qualifiers next month by overcoming hard training.
