Japan Futsal National Team’s training camp report (6/8)

09 June 2015

Japan Futsal National Team’s training camp report (6/8)

The Futsal Japan National Team started the training camp in Chiba on 8 June. The 16 players, who had participated in the previous training camp from 1 to 3 June, have joined this three-day camp until 10 June. The players will play two matches against the Vietnam national team, and intend to train practically to improve the team during the camp.

On the first day, the players focused on waiting for an opportunity to score while passing the ball around, which they had practiced in the previous camp last week. The team again explored the concept of ‘getting through’ the opponent.

The players kept their motivation very high, staying vocal to check each other’s play now and then. Then the team was divided into three groups to play a mini game to finish their first practice session, using the half-length pitch.

Players' Comments

MUROTA Yuki (ESPOLADA HOKKAIDO)
I’m grateful that I was chosen to be here again after the previous training camp. I’d like to learn as much as possible from the coach’s advice as well as from other players’ good plays. I will communicate a lot with others and focus on the coming two matches against Vietnam.

FUJIWARA Jun (Bardral URAYASU)
Although it’s a limited-time activity, I’d like to make the most of the opportunity of playing two games against a foreign national team in Japan. I will play hard, focusing on the content of the game, not to mention winning against a fellow Asian team. I’d like to bring what I learned during the previous camp last week into the game.
