Players' Comments

INABA Kotaro (FUGADOR SUMIDA)
We were shaky early and allowed some goals in our previous game against Malaysia, so we tried to be careful how to get in the game today. We gave up a goal from a set play, but I think that we came in it well, playing with concentration.

Kuwait's players were bigger and had longer wing spans, so we struggled with those a little bit. But our set plays that we practiced yesterday went well, scoring some goals in our own ways, and were able to get away with the win. Hopefully, we play better from early with concentration tomorrow, too. Also, I would like to go aggressively both defensively and offensively as well.

NAKAMURA Yusuke (NAGOYA OCEANS)
We played in the game trying to be cautious on how to get in the game against Kuwait today. We scored a goal from a set play, which we practiced yesterday, and it paid off for what we've practiced, such as possessing the ball.

Individually, I didn't have much playing time, but it's still a precious experience to be able to on the national team, so I would like to do my best tomorrow, too, so I can grow as much as I can. Also, because it's my birthday today, there was a surprise celebration for me at the dinner. I was glad that my great teammates and staff members celebrated me. I'll try my best so I can score a birthday goal tomorrow.

NIBUYA Kazuhiro (VASAGEY OITA)
We played against a tough Asian opponent today, so I'm happy that we were able to beat them. But in order to win the championship in Asia, we are going to have to develop our accuracy more. So we would like to play a better game than today's tomorrow.
