Japan Women's Futsal National Team camp ahead of AFC Women's Futsal Championship Malaysia 2015 (9/19)
20 September 2015
After a long trip, Japan Women's Futsal National Team arrived Malaysia on the night of Friday 18 September and started training on the morning of Saturday 19. At the training site allocated to the Japan team, a local futsal competition was taking place at the same time, and Japan started practice in a lively atmosphere. Even in the different environment from Japan's, the players were not fazed to work on their training.
After finishing the morning session, they got plenty of rest after lunch and headed for the afternoon session. Starting training in a sudden squall, they repeatedly went through in detail moves they worked on in the camp in Japan.
The squad will have an official practice session at the match site Nilai Indoor Stadium on Sunday 20th and play their opener against Vietnam on Monday 21st.
Players' Comments
FP #7 KICHIBAYASHI Chikage (VEEX TOKYO Ladies)
We got to Malaysia last night and worked out hard in the morning and afternoon today. With just two days until our first match, we reviewed fundamentals of our tactics and set-pieces. Our training today ended up a great preparation. We have only one day to have training until the opener. We will do everything we can do and get well prepared.
Only 16 players came here, but we will play responsibly also on behalf of a lot of people who are not here including the players who have led the team up until now and fans who have supported us.
FP #13 TAKAO Akari (Maruoka RUCK Ladies)
Since the domestic camp started on 15 September, we have worked on intense training programmes. Ahead of the AFC Women's Futsal Championship Malaysia 2015 opening two days later, we have got prepared very well.
Today's training was the first one since we came to Malaysia. My motivation is getting higher as it's coming up soon. Tomorrow, the final training before the tournament will be held. Both as an individual and as a team, we will begin our campaign in perfect form.
