Futsal Japan National Team Tour to Spain Activity Report(4/4) Move from Pamplona to Lugo and Morioka’s temporal lay-off
06 April 2014
n this day, we had light training in the morning in consideration of accumulated fatigue.
After lunch, we moved to Lugo where is going to be the 3rd activity base of the tour. The players seemed relatively relaxed although they were rather tired because of ten-hour move with twice breaks in the middle.
But we had a bad news on this day. Morioka, who got injured in the 3rd match of the tour against Magna Navarra, had to go back to Japan for cure. Before the move to Lugo, when Morioka separated from the team, he said “It’s a real pity I have to be away from the team and I’m terribly sorry for the inconvenience. I’ll concentrate on cure in Japan and recover myself completely as soon as possible”.
The other players renewed their mood after listening to leaving Morioka’s words
Players’ Comments
Osodo Nobuya(Vasagey Oita)
We’re now preparing for the remaining 3 matches after the first 3 consecutive matches. As Miguel said, defense is one of our strong points and we could keep our good defense in these 3 matches. So, we should keep working hard on this and also we should play with the intention of scoring goals to get good results in the remaining matches.
Yushi Sekiguchi(Espolada Hokkaido)
Today I put pressure on myself physically by GK training and so on in the morning to use up my abundant energy. And from the afternoon, we came to Lugo travelling about 10 hours by bus from, which was the biggest move in this tour. Although I’m used to lots of moves because I’m from Hokkaido, I basically use plains, so I hadn’t have much occasions to move by bus and it was quite hard to me. The Spain tour remains half, so I’m keen to learn various things based on my own experiences and broad vision and I will make full effort to improve myself and go back to Japan.
Yoshikawa Tomoki(Nagoya Oceans)
Even though we got some harvest as team after the 3 matches of the first half of the tour,
I think our problems were clear. Since we’ve had a long-distance move by bus after training in the morning today, to be honest, we’re kind of tired. But we want to play meaningfully in the remaining 3 matches and get well-prepared for the AFC Champions League.
