Japan provisional national futsal team training camp report (17th April)
18 April 2014
On the second of the training camp, while they tried to remove their fatigue from their Spain trip, the players worked on elaborating on their team concepts through repeated training.
After they did stretching and warmed themselves up, they first checked on their offensive game with four attacking men; the four repeatedly tried to connect the ball with each other and bring it for shots. They examined a few variations while they communicated with each other to deepen their understandings between themselves.
Coach Miguel saw the facial expressions and their moves during the training and decided to not to run the afternoon practice session to priotize the removal of their fatigue. The players understood their coache's intention and rested their bodies by using the big bath at the facility.
Comments from players
TAKITA Manabu(ASV Pescadola Machida)
After we came back from the Spain trip, I got to be able to spend some time at home. But I felt more fatigue than I thought. We got off to the training camp from yesterday, but the training menus that we go through focus on priotizing our recoveries to some extent. As we get to play in the AFC Championships, we will make the best efforts we can to raise our conditions while we refresh ourselves during this opportunities. Fortunately, our coaches and staffs have the know-hows and we all can work together looking in the same direction. If I am chosen, that will be my third AFC Championships. I think I can be here as I've become better and my position has changed. I will put my best effort that I can put up and survivie in this training camp, so I can help the team be the number one team in Asia with the Japanese Hinomaru flag in my mind.
SEKIGUCHI Yushi(Espolada Hokkaido)
I am learning a lot because I get to go through a lot of differnet practice menus for the goalkeepers here at the national team camp that I don't usually do. Today also, although it was not a long time, there were ways that I never thought of and it certainly became great references to me. Both Kawahara and (Fujiwara) Jun have so many practice menus and they taught me a lot of things. I would like to take advantage of this experience from now on.
NAKAMURA Yusuke(No club)
Because it's not been a while since we got back from the Spain tour, we are going through a lot of practice menus to fresh ourselves. As far as me concerned, I've recently joined the natinal team, so I've been studying the traits of each player during the practices. We would like to elaborate on your ball posession and defense that we worked on in our Spain trip, and have good preparations each day in order to achieve our goal to win the AFC Championshis.
