Futsal Japan National Team Training Camp Report 18th April
19 April 2014
The day three of the training camp again was centred on conditioning work.
In one drill, players stood with their back against small hurdles and then with a whistle turned around, jumped over the hurdles and sprinted. In another, they had to sprint and at the same time had to find markers in the distance and pick the colour with the smallest number. They had to make quick judgement as they kept running. Such kind of drills surely gives good stimulus to players’ brains.
Afterwards they engaged in mini-games with goals put closer to each other to make the pitch smaller. Only headers were allowed to score. The game was full of highlights as players with physical advantage powered their way to the goal while others created attacks with perfect assists.
Players concentrated on each drill, being well aware of importance of staying in good condition to get ready for the upcoming matches.

INABA Kotaro(Bardral Urayasu Futbol Sala)
We now have less than two weeks before the AFC Championship. The Nagoya camp has started and now we are getting our conditioning back after the Spain trips and matches every day. Today’s practice was short but well done with good focus and chemistry. We will bring our physical and mental state up from here and get ready for the AFC Championship with being in our best shape. Bringing people’s attention to futsal by winning matches is another motivation for us to work hard.
FUJIWARA Jun(Bardral Urayasu Futbol Sala)
This Nagoya camp for the AFC Championship had its third day. We are doing training to refresh our minds and bodies back from the Spain trip rather than pushing ourselves really hard. But I think the intensity level will gradually go up from now on. We will keep working on training to achieve our difficult goal as a team.
NIBUYA Kazuhiro(Vasagey Oita)
The AFC Championship is right around the corner. To win it all, now we need to focus on our training and complete good preparation. I personally want to get better on accuracy of my shots and long passes, which I couldn’t do well in Spain, and move forward every day. We all want to enjoy this process and get ready for every match.
