Japan national provisional futsal team training camp report (19th April)
20 April 2014
The team changed their practice schedule to the afternoon session only from two sessions, which they had originally planned. While they tried to rest bodies, they also emphasized on maintaining their focus in the short period.
The three goalkeepers came out earlier than the field players and worked out on their own. Although the three are of different ages and have different amount of experiences, they showed really good team works there.
In the entire practice session, the players paired with teammates and went through seven different circuit training menus that their physical coach Muraoka installed. They told themselves during a meal on the previous day that they promised to work hard while they could rest their bodies being given some off time, and as stated they approached the training with high concentration levels. Some of them seemed to show some fatigue and have hard time putting their faces up late in the session, other guys encouraged them by saying, ''Let's go! Let's go!''
It appeared that the players regained their sharpnesses on their bodies and they could train gearing up for the AFC Championships in the camp.
Meanwhile, since it was a weekend, many visitors came to see them train. After the training session, they had a chance to take a photo together and the children visitors seemed to be pleased about it.
Players Comments
MINAMOTO Akira(Fuchu Athletic F.C.)
As we are gradually removing our fatigues from our Spanish tour, we were ready to go though the training for raising our condition levels. I think that we are required to be mentally ready, not just physically, in this training camp. The AFC Championships is a short tournament as well, so it will be critical for us to be united as one. We would like to get ready with all the elements that we'd need to win it – our physicality, mentality and team unity – while maintaining our tension here before we are headed to Vietnam.
SATO Toru(Umacon Zaragoza Futbol Sala)
We have begun our genuine physical training today, and all of us are able to work out in a good atmosphere by talking to each other. It is one of our biggest themes to maximize our physical conditions for the AFC Championships in this training camp. I believe that our training will get harder, but we would like to work on every training menu as hard as we can, maintaining our sense of purpose.
