Beach Soccer Japan shortlisted squad training camp in Hyogo (21 Feb)

Beach Soccer Japan shortlisted squad attended the fourth day of the training camp and held their usual two practice sessions, one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. The players ran a lot in the morning, followed by the afternoon practice, which went on until they could no longer see the ball after sunset.

As it was Saturday, many people came to see the practice session despite the cold weather. During the practice game, the players received waves of applause when they scored acrobatic goals, including a scissor-kick. It was a rare occasion for the team and they were very pleased.

The players had a meeting after the practice, so that they could check the team’s concept once more before tomorrow - the last day of the camp. They are finalising their preparation for the coming AFC Championship 2015 in approximately one month.

Tomorrow the team will hold a practice session based on a practice game with a local team to finish their training camp in Hyogo.

Players Comments

OBA Takaaki(Dorsole Kitakyushu)
I could share the vision of the head coach and the goal of this team in the evening meeting after the training. I’d like to show what I’ve learned so far in the practice session of the last day tomorrow. I’d like to play hard to fulfil my role in the team, showing off my strength.

HARAGUCHI Shotaro(TOKYO LEQUIOS BS)
I think it’s vital to share and understand the plays and the thoughts of the individual players before the AFC qualifying round. Also it’s essential to use each player’s skill well to get a victory for the team. I’d like to finish this camp with a good result tomorrow.

MATSUO Naoya(Pracia Yamaguchi)
During the morning physical training, I was told by the head coach to always run ahead. So I focused on doing so. In the practice game in the afternoon, I played hard, bearing in mind my contribution to scoring goals and leadership of the team. Having said that, the accuracy of the last passes and shots can be improved. I’d like to focus on increasing accuracy tomorrow.
