Head Coaches' Comments
Hernán Caputto, Head Coach (U-16 Chile National Team)
We watched the match between Japan and Costa Rica yesterday. Although the Japanese players aren’t as physically big as France, they are very good at passing the ball around with swift movements. I think Japan are excellent. We’d like to think about our strategy properly before the game. We hope to keep possession in tomorrow’s match as long as possible. We might play in a similar way as Japan, but we’ll stay more ambitious and direct for goals.
Laurent Guyot , Head Coach (U-16 France National Team)
We should have won the match yesterday with a few more goals. After reviewing yesterday’s game on the video, we could see more goal-scoring opportunities, which we should have finished. That’s why we couldn’t get a good result. We have to focus on improving our ability to finish goals before the coming game. Whenever we have an opportunity, we must take a shot.
