Japan Women's Futsal short-listed squad start training camp in Hyogo
17 July 2015
Japan Women's Futsal National Team short-listed squad started their training camp in Hyogo.
While the typhoon was approaching, the players started with some stretching and jogging to warm their bodies up. Then they did “rondo” passing training using two balls, in which the players were required to make quick judgement in order to pass around the ball with one touch as much as possible. They moved onto some four-on-four with three free players, and finished the session with a mini game.
In the meeting after dinner, the players shared the direction of the team, checking their attacking tactics with a video for tomorrow’s match.
Players' Comments
HIGASHIYAMA Maiko (Bardral Urayasu)
It’s my first time to join the national squad. Although it’s a limited time, I’d like to communicate a lot with staff as well as other players, so that I can learn and express this team’s concept in my game. I would also like to enjoy myself, showing my strengths.
AMISHIRO Anna (SWH Ladies Futsal Club)
I’m a little nervous, as it’s my first training camp. I’ll do my best, understanding the team’s concept and showing my style. I’d like to get a good result within the limited time we have on the pitch.
HOTTA Eriko (SAICOLO)
I’d like to make this training camp productive, as it’s a great opportunity to hold training sessions and play matches with these teammates for five days. I’d like to bring what I understood into the game, communicating and cooperating with my teammates. We’ll play against the Hyogo Selection tomorrow. Although we have only held one training session so far, I’d like to show what I learned today on the pitch. Personally, I’ll focus on swift judgment and quick switch between attack and defence, as well as the play near the ball.
KOMURA Misato (arco-iris KOBE)
I’m looking forward to the camp, as it’s been a year since I was last chosen for the national team. Although it’s a limited time, I really appreciate that I can play futsal in an excellent environment. I hope to contribute to the team. Tomorrow we’ll play against the Hyogo Women’s Selection. There are some new faces, some, who came back to the team after a while, and others who have constantly been in the team. I’d like to show in the coming training match what we can do as one of the best teams in Japan.
