U-16 Japan Women's National Team in preparation for match against Chinese Taipei in AFC U-16 Women's Championship
07 November 2015
U-16 Japan Women's National Team started their training sessions prior to the second game of the AFC U-16 Women’s Championship China 2015 against Chinese Taipei.
The players had a meeting at the hotel in the morning and reviewed the match against Uzbekistan. They shared their achievements as well as the areas that need to be improved, and got themselves ready for the training session in the afternoon.
The players, who were on the pitch the day before, did some running and stretching in order to recover. Others held an approximately one-hour session, practicing 1-on-1 and shooting, prior to the coming game against Chinese Taipei.
Japan, who are eager to book a place in the knockout stage with two consecutive victories, will kick-off the second match at 15:00 (16:00 Japan Time) on Saturday 7 November.
Players' Comments
MF #8 KARAHASHI Mayu (Albirex Niigata Ladies U-18)
I mainly focused on recovering in today’s session. We’ll play another match after a one-day break. I’d like to prepare as much as possible, so that we play well as a team and win our second game for sure to get thorough to the group stage.
DF #15 KANEKATSU Rio (Urawa Reds Ladies Youth)
I’d like to play our style in tomorrow’s match to secure a victory. In particular, I’ll make sure to score whenever I have a goal-scoring opportunity to perform well in the game. Personally, I’d like to focus on staying competitive in 1-on-1. I’ll play aggressively against Asian players, so that I can understand how well I can compete against them. Then I’ll address my weak points in the following games in order to improve myself through each game.
