MS&AD CUP 2016 to be charity match on Wednesday 11 May at Best Amenity Stadium in Saga
20 April 2016
I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the victims of the Kumamoto earthquakes and their families and my deepest sympathies to the people affected by it.
The Japan Football Association (JFA) would like to announce that we will host MS&AD CUP 2016 on Wednesday 11 May at Best Amenity Stadium in Saga as ‘MS&AD CUP 2016 – Charity matches for Kyushu and Kumamoto earthquakes “Ganbarubai Kumamoto” – ’.
We also have decided that all the profits from this charity match will be donated to the Kumamoto Donation Account and the Football Families’ Recovery Support Account.
All the sponsors of the national teams, including MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Inc., who support this charity match, understood and agreed to these decisions. We hope the U-23 Japan National Team players will encourage people in the disaster-affected area by performing hard in the game against Ghana.
This charity match is not only a vital opportunity for the U-23 Japan National Team to strengthen themselves in preparation for the 31st Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, but also a part of disaster reconstruction with all the supporters. We’d like to support in any way we can. Please come and join us at the stadium.
