Vahid HALILHODZIC, Coach
I'm happy to play against one of Asia's top teams during the World Cup final qualifying round. Oman did not reach the final qualifying round but played the Asian second qualifying round in the same group with Iran, who are the highest-ranked Asian nation in the FIFA rankings. And they drew with them at home.
We are facing the same Middle Eastern outfit Saudi Arabia after this coming KIRIN CHALLENGE CUP. In that sense, it will be a good opportunity to get ready for the final qualifying round. I've visited Kashima Stadium to watch matches several times. It is a stadium with a good atmosphere. I hope the atmosphere created by the fans who filled the stadium backs us up. I'm looking forward to sharing the pleasure of a victory with a lot of fans.
