Japan Futsal National Team train for final match against Iran in Thailand trip
23 August 2016
The Japan Futsal National Team had their final tune-up session on Monday 22 August ahead of a clash against Iran in the Thailand 5s International 4 Nation Futsal Championship 2016. The squad spent their morning time for recovery from past matches including a light workout in a pool. In the afternoon training, they went through set-pieces and tactics, as coach SUZUKI Ryuji stopped plays at times to share his intention and idea with the players.
Upon the previous day's loss to Kazakhstan, whether the team can cut off the negative momentum is the key. The combination between players also improved day by day. The intensive 90-minute training seamed to finish very fast.
The Japan Futsal National Team will play against Iran on Tuesday 23 August.

Players' Comments
FP #4 OBATA Kiichi (ESPOLADA HOKKAIDO)
We mainly had recovery regimen after the Thailand and Kazakhstan matches. From the two matches we played, we will sort out what we were able and not able to do and go all out for tomorrow's Iran match.
FP #12 YAMAGIRI Shogo (AGLEYMINA HAMAMATSU)
It was very disappointing yesterday but turned out to be a very good experience. Today, we worked on training with an eye for the Iran match. We will try to show them what we learned from today’s practice and pressure them on numerous occasions. It's going to be the last match here, so we want to go back to Japan after winning as a team.
