Coach and Players' Comments
Eduardo VILLEGAS, Coach
Kobe is a beautiful city with a relaxing atmosphere, and I really like the city. We were very pleased with the training venue, but we are worried about the cold temperature at night. The people of Japan are very kind, and the city is very well organised. It is a total culture shock for us. Regarding the Japan National Team, we have the impression that they showcased a wonderful performance at the World Cup by constructing their team around their young players. I am sure they are in the process of a generation change, so we will go over the film of their match against Colombia and construct our game plans accordingly.
Ramiro VACA
Japan is a wonderful country with great hospitality. We just arrived in Japan, but the people are already kind to us, and I am excited to be here. The Japan National Team is a very strong team and they have left a positive result at the World Cup to showcase their presence. The match against Japan will be a very difficult match for us, but it will give us the opportunity to prepare ourselves ahead of the Copa America.
Carlos LAMPE
It is very impressive to see the warm hospitality, their politeness, punctuality, and the discipline of the Japanese people. I think Japan is a very strong team. They left a strong impression at the World Cup, and we heard that they have showcased an equally matched bout against Colombia yesterday. I am pretty sure that it will be a tough match for us, but it will also give us a wonderful learning experience.
Marvin BEJARANO
Compared to Latin America, Japan is an advanced country with a very different culture. They are a beautiful country with well organised cities, and I am very excited to be here. We are aware that their football team has improved over the recent years. The Japan National Team is a team with great potential, and we are expecting a tough match against them.
