SAMURAI Blue working out in two sessions of training - 2nd day of Ibusuki Camp

Samurai Blue, camping in Ibusuki Kagoshima for 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, held two sessions of training in the morning and the afternoon on 22 May, second day of the camp.

A part of training was open to media in bit cloudy and muggy weather.
In the top of morning session, it was divided into two groups – one group for physical training and the other group for training the defense formation. The players in the latter group practiced with players of National Institute of Fitness and Sports in Kanoya on the pitch, and they checked how they interactively take their position.

In the beginning of afternoon session, the field players were divided into two groups, exchange pass in 5-on-5 training, fast and with limited number of ball touches.

Not feeling well, defender Sakai Gotoku took the safe side and stayed at the hotel for rest.

Before the meeting, Kirin Group, an official sponsor of Samurai Blue, supplied beverages to them. Mr. Takahashi Toshibumi, Head of Kyushu Branch at Kirin Company Limited and Mr.Tsukahara Mitsuhiko, Kyushu Area Director at Kirin Beverage Company Limited came to the ground for encouragement and the presentation ceremony.

Also, Mr.Mizuno Katsumi, Director at Credit Saison Co., Ltd – a supporting company of SAMURAI Blue, presented NEO MONEY, a pre-paid card which is exclusive for overseas use.

The training camp at this site is scheduled until 25 May.

Commnts

ENDO Yasuhito(GAMBA OSAKA)
Today’s session was focused on physical training. I assume more tactical training coming up for the game against Cyprus. I will be able to move my body naturally if you do training with full force every day. I want to prepare for the game after holding training in good atmosphere both individually and as a team. Some players looked tired for playing in ACL and other games but it is important to keep individual player in good shape. I’m hoping to play in good combination once we start game-format training.

UCHIDA Atsuto(FC Schalke 04/Germany)
“I am having a good training, I took part in the first team training yesterday, following a training (independent training) at Nishigaoka. I feel like I’m a football player when training with many team members, as compared with doing training in small numbers of member.”

AOYAMA Toshihiro(SANFRECCE HIROSHIMA)
“As I’ve been playing the game till recently, I’m in a pretty good shape. I am planning to raise quality and accuracy of every single play. Once I fit to the team tactics, I think I can extract my strength automatically. It was less than a year since I was called to Samurai Blue, I’ve been training very hard and this camp is good because it gives me chance to review the team tactics and learn them inside out. I believe I can step up further from here, expecting to become a different man from what I am now in a month later.”
