Coaching training sessions held along with the International Youth Soccer in Niigata

23 July 2014

Coaching training sessions held along with the International Youth Soccer in Niigata

The coaching training session was held in conjunction with the 18th International Youth Soccer event in Niigata.
This year was the sixth training session since 2009 and the U-17 Mexico national team, the Serbia national team, the U-17 Niigata Selection Team and the U-17 Japan National Team participated.
Participants from all over the country attended lectures, held match analyses and group sessions, and gave presentations for two days, learning not only from the instructors but also from each other.

Comments From Instructors

Wakasugi Toru, JFA Instructor
I, as well as the coach Yoshitake, tried our best within the limited time. I’m really grateful that every participant tried so eagerly and sincerely to learn something new.
I hope they’ll pass what they leaned in this training session at the International Youth Soccer in Niigata in a thoughtful and appropriate way, depending on the leaners in their region.
Learners always look up instructors. So let’s keep improving ourselves and continue to strengthen, develop, and spread our football.

Yoshitake Hirofumi, Head Coach of U-16 Japan National Team
I felt tense, knowing the participants had put in so much effort during the busy and precious three-day-weekend, in order to improve the coaching landscape.
I also learned a lot from the questions I was asked about the national team's activities with the developing generation or other things - topics I myself had also been wondering about.
I hope we can bring this enthusiasm to the pitch.

Comment From Participant

Mr.Ikeguchi Hironori
It was very good to learn how to analyse games using a different view from the practical coaching training sessions. Mr. Wakasugi, the instructor, was open-minded and excellent at creating a sense of unity among us by shaking hands.
Having a lecture from Mr Yoshitake, the Head Coach of U-16 Japan National Team, was invaluable for me and I wanted to learn deeper. It was a very productive two-day session. I’d like to attend this kind of session regularly in order to improve myself.
