Japanese referee Yamagishi thrilled for FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup

For the 2014 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup, which will be held in Canada in August, Japanese referee Yamagishi Sachiko will be dispatched. She spoke about her motivation as well as the attractive points being a referee before she left for the tournament.
Yamagishi began her referee career when she started helping instructing for boys players. Her first experience as a referee at a FIFA-sanctioned international tournament was the FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup in Chile in 2008, and this will be her second Under-20 event. ''The tempo of the matches were fast, and the players were strong,'' Yamagishi looked back.

''You have massive pressure that a match could be determined with just one judgement and it's tough. But while you feel those pressure, you'll get some joy when you don't get afraid of making mistakes and execute a whole match,'' she also commented on the tough part and fun part.

She added: "I'm not going to do particularly special for this, but I'll spending my daily life, focusing on my conditioning as well as making a good balance between my mentality and physicality as my number one priority. In order to make the tournament successful, I would like to firmly do my job, putting up the best I can.''

The 2014 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup in Canada will get underway on 5th August and will end on 24th.
