Futsal Japan National Team launched training for FIFA Futsal World Cup 2016!

Futsal Japan National Team started training camp in Fukuroi, Shizuoka on Mon. 1 September. This training was held first time in four months for Futsal Japan International Team who consecutively won the AFC Futsal Championship in Vietnam in May. Eighteen players were called up this time. Adding three new comers, the squad just started battle for winning the national team position for the biggest objective, FIFA World Cup 2016.

“This is first training camp after Asian Championship and it is important to come to get together for sharing time and training. I called up many young players including player of first international appearance but please don’t hesitate to play in the squad and do the best you can” said Head Coach Miguel at the beginning of the training.

The first day training was not so hard. Nagoya Oceans' players who won the AFC Futsal Club Championship participated in only stretch and jogging, considering they have exhausted for the event. Rest of players worked on training program for having good communications such as practice of passing, game in which player is not allowed to move until the players who received the ball finish playing it, etc., not a training to put a load on players. Three days with two nights stay camp. They finished first day with bright feeling full of smiling face and laughter.

Players Comments

MINAMOTO Akira (Fuchu Athletic F.C.)
Holding camp after a while since AFC Futsal Championship, I came to the training camp with refreshed feeling as some new members joined the squad. We became the Asian Futsal Champion for two times in a row in 2012 and 2014. Time has come for the squad to step up to a new stage and this is the event to make that happen. I want to make it fruitful camp for me to contribute my role in the squad.

KATO Ryuma (Bardral Urayasu Futbol Sala)
Given the first day training, we had a training of light programs as we had communications. This was my first training for Japan National Team and I want to talk to my teammates more and do my best to hold a good training.

MUROTA Yuki (Espolada Hokkaido)
The first day of Japan National team training was over. I think I spent a good time making close communications with others as I worked on light training program like practice for passing, etc. This is short training for three days, I believe I can make this camp productive depends upon my attitude. I am going to work on training fully conscious of what’s going on to develop my skills.
