Futsal Japan National Team training camp report (2 Sep)

Futsal Japan National Team training camp report (2 Sep)

On the second day of the training camp, the players held two training sessions - one in the morning and the other in the afternoon. They started with light tasks as they did the previous day, including passing and shooting in the morning, and then gradually moved on to heavier training. They had practice matches from the end of the morning session and throughout the afternoon session.

As some time has passed since the AFC Futsal Championship and there are also many new faces, the players spent their time understanding their attacking and defending strategies and the essential points of their set plays. In the practice games the players seemed to communicate with each other more. Some young players asked experienced players for some advice.

Comments

MIYAZAKI Satoshi (Fugador Sumida)
I was nervous before I came here, because it’s my first time to join the national team. However, everyone is very friendly talking to me, and I’m enjoying myself a lot. There are some new rules here, which I don’t have in my own team, and there are also many experienced players. So I’d like to learn as much as possible in order to improve myself.

HOSHI Ryuta (Nagoya Oceans)
We had many practice games today, which gave us good opportunities to communicate with new players. I was inspired a lot, as each player has his own character and skills. There’s a good atmosphere around with lots of smiles and we talk about various stuff off the pitch as well. Although the training will be over tomorrow, I’ll thoroughly enjoy my time with the younger players.

SHIRAKATA Hidekazu (Nagoya Oceans)
I joined the practice session properly from the afternoon today. I have to say, I’ve got so much inspiration by practicing with other players from my own team. I also felt I must win. As there is a certain playing style of the Futsal Japan National Team, I’d like to learn many things and play eagerly within the limited time of this training camp.
