Beach soccer Japan shortlisted squad, training camp in Hyogo (18 February)

The squad, held Brazil and Argentine trip last month, started training camp today in Hyogo for AFC Beach Soccer Championship 2015 which will be served as qualifier for FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Portugal 2015. The players were all energetic on training under the cold winter sky lower than 10 C, totally different from South America where temperature was over 30 C.

Under the rainbow spanning the sky, head coach told the squad in the beginning “the specific goal of the training camp is to enhance physical strength and better linkage among players.”  All the players were all looked high-spirited and worked on physical training featuring long distance sprint and shoot practice for about an hour and half and ended first day of the training.

Head Coach and Players Comments

Marcelo MENDES, Head Coach
It was just one session of training in the afternoon but I think we had a good start of training camp. Quality of training pitch for this training camp is excellent and it looked similar to Copacabana in Brazil where we had training camp last month. The squads are highly-motivated and I look forward to holding the training tomorrow.

SUGITA Tetsuji(Shonan Spread 1545)
This is first training camp in Hyogo and I am really pleased to play in incredible training environment. I am eager to work on training with a sense of competition more than ever.

TABATA Teruki(TOKYO LEQUIOS BS)
It just very special for us to work on team training camp at this period getting ready for AFC Beach Soccer Championship in March. In this training camp, I want to upgrade team integrity and make a good preparation to be able to start qualifiers in a good team condition.

MOREIRA Ozu(TOKYO LEQUIOS BS)
Finishing first day training, I found the pitch is just excellent and the sand is perfect for playing beach soccer. As we get united more than ever by overcoming weakness and I want to take on the World Cup qualifiers next month in the best condition. I am committed to lead the team for reaching that goal.
