Right after the first goal, on 11 minutes, HOMMA Shion passed the ball to SUGAWARA Yukinari and he got the 2nd goal. On 25 minutes, Japan broke the opponents’ defense with excellent combination and pass work and HOMMA got the 4th goal scoring from a cross which came from AWANO. On 26 and 28 minutes, MIKUNI Kennedy Ebusu got two consecutive goals and Japan finished the 1st half with a lead of 6-0.

In the 2nd half, Japan continued controlling the match and on 32 minutes YAMAYA Yushi scored the 7th goal which decided the result of the match. Eventually the match finished with Japan’s landslide victory 7-0. U-15 Japan National Team finished this exchange programme in 3rd place.

Comments

AKADA Yuma (Uji FC Junior Youth)
Since we couldn’t go to the final after losing the match against Iran, it is good that we won the final match today. I want to keep training to improve quality of my play and to be a better player. At this camp, I learned about controlling the team, coaching, and leading our defenders. I still have some issues about preparing ourselves and positioning and I learned about them from the staff, so I want to show them in much better condition in the next time. Our goal is to go to the FIFA U-17 World Cup. I just want to work very hard to solve my issues and show my strengths once I am selected as a squad member.

OMOMO Leon (Urawa Reds Junior Youth)
We had very high motivation for this final match and it was good to win being united as a team. When I scored, all I did was just applying the finishing touch to get the ball in to the net. As our Head Coach has told us repeatedly during the camp, our issues are switching our play from defense to offense, having better timing to communicate in the defense line, and keeping a high combative spirit. I got to know what I need to do more during this opportunity, so I just want to bring these issues to my local team and try my best in the next squad camp.
