Kashima Antlers to take on FC Seoul today - ACL 2015 Group stage MD 6
05 May 2015
AFC Champions League 2015 reached last matchday of the group stage. On 5th Matchday 6, Kashima Antlers will meet FC Seoul of Korea Republic. These comments are from press conference held the previous night before the match.
Kashima Antlers
Toninho Cerezo, Head Coach
It was really a tough start of this championship but we managed to keep our hopes alive until the last match of the group stage. But thing is we have not achieved anything yet. It all depends on how we will play in tomorrow’s match whether we have more matches or not. We have no choice but to win the game. The goal is clear and it makes it easier to cope with. The other side is smart team knowing what should be done in the game and very tough for strong physical contacts. I believe we can grab a victory if the squad demonstrates what they supposed to do in the pitch.
YAMAMOTO Shuto
I know it is going to be a tough match tomorrow but as we got to win the game, every one of us is determined to play the game showing our responsibility and pride. As with other games, one careless play sure to lead to our risk, I want to play with never-give-up attitude I can bearing everyday practice in my mind.
FC Seoul
Choi Yong Soo, Head Coach
For winning the group called “the Group of Death”, it is going to be a crucial match tomorrow. Antlers is known for respected powerhouse in J.League and managed by superb head coach. I anticipate it will be a great game tomorrow giving respects to each other but what matters most is the result. Both sides have many capable players and I would think the difference of players’ focus and making a one small mistake will make big difference. Having been fully trained for this game, I believe the attitude and behavior for taking on the game is very important. Just believing in what we can do and we’ve got to get on the game with strong willingness to play a good game.
Jung Jo Gook
Tomorrow’ game is important for us because the last 16 is at stake, which is one of our goals, and I think I know what we should do to accomplish the mission. We have to fight for the game with all of us ? head coach and players united. Our head coach is quite familiar with Japan football and has a lot of information about it. Just believe in head coach, I will do my best to prepare and play well in the match tomorrow.
