JFA strengthens ties with The FA

Japan Football Association (JFA) has signed a MoU with The Football Association (The FA) on 24 February at Wembley Stadium. This first agreement in between the football governing bodies will strengthen the mutual relationship and lead them to cooperate together for a further development of football in both England and Japan.

JFA President DAINI Kuniya has expressed his appreciation of such an important occasion. “I am very honoured by this meaningful moment of signing the MoU with The FA. We spent nearly one year to decide its contents which has strengthened the ties between associations even more solid. We will be glad to exchange experiences in different aspects especially disability and paralympic football to enhance our support mission towards Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and also on developments of women’s football for more powerful future. It is my sincere hope that this agreement would deepen our mutual trust that has been built over almost a century and lead both of us to a greater height.”

The MoU between The FA and JFA aims to cooperate with each other in the following areas

・Women’s football
・Refereeing
・Disability & Paralympic football
・IT
・Security
・Technical exchange
・Match opportunities
・Joint international development initiatives

Until now JFA has signed MoU with France, Germany, India, Iran, Jordan, Mongolia, Singapore, Spain, Tajikistan, UAE and Vietnam.
